What's Happening with Tony and Beth
October 5, 2003: Our First Anniversary
A year ago, we were in Colorado, getting married. This year, we were going to go camping with some friends for our anniversary ... however, because the weather was calling for rain all weekend, we cancelled. So, of course, it only rained one day and the rest of the weekend would have been perfect for camping. But, oh well. We ended up just spending some of the day in St. Joe, Michigan. It was a nice, cool, sunny day ... and very relaxing. =)

We're getting ready to head back to Colorado, leaving next Friday. It'll be nice to have a vacation again -- the last one I took was for our wedding, which was almost a year ago already! I definitely need a break from the office!
While we're out there, we plan to take one night to camp in Rocky Mountain National Park and do a little hiking. Stay tuned for tons of photos.

The NFF site is now live. While Tony's business did not provide the graphic design (the agency I work for did that), he did all the database programming that allows NFF reps to update their calendar of events and other pages, to keep news items current.

Tony officially has his business up and running. In addition to building dynamic web sites, he's been doing some tech support for some former colleagues of ours. His goal is to work on an as-needed basis for ad agencies and other web development companies who are overloaded with work, but who can't really justify hiring someone full-time just to do back-end programming. He's completed some work for my employer, helping us develop an automated online promotion/giveaway for Boost nutritional beverages, and a new site for the National Football Foundation. Right now, we're just waiting for the clients to say OK to going live with these. I'll let everyone know when they're actually on the web!

Tony's fun, online gadget has really taken off. He's had over 25,000 individual users hitting this thing every day ... in a total of 29 countries worldwide!

Tony and I got married on October 5, 2002 in Estes Park, Colorado.
Here are some pictures
Here's a brief rundown of what we did each day that we were in Colorado:
Wednesday, 10/2/02, we arrived at the home of Tony's aunt & uncle, Doris & Jim, around 9 PM.
The next day, we drove up to Estes Park, got our marriage license, met with our minister, and visited the Baldpate Inn, site of our reception. Then we had dinner at the Dunraven Inn with my parents and my cousin, Wendy, and her husband, Mike.
On Friday, we went back to Estes Park and checked into the Baldpate. Once all our family & friends arrived, we took a drive through Rocky Mountain National Park and later had another great dinner at the Twin Owls Lodge. We also saw a bear walking around there, but we didn't get a picture, unfortunately.
Saturday was the big wedding day. Good weather, a little cool... so we did it at the Baldpate, instead of by Lily Lake, as we'd originally planned. It worked out well.
Following the wedding, we went on to our place in Vail for the week, and drove all over seeing the sites. (More details later!)
